After the Storms: Support Catholic Families in Atlanta
By Lisa Hendey • Sep 28th, 2009 • Category: Community Service, Lisa's Blog, News
While we’re still burning up out here in Fresno, my friends in Georgia are trying to recover from the tragedy of last week’s storms. My friend Mary Kochan, Senior Editor of Catholic Exchange, has a stirring piece on their site about the aftermath and its impact upon her own family. Mary also invites our support of Catholic author Rod Bennett, author of Four Witnesses: The Early Church in Her Own Words. Rod and his family sustained damage, as did so many other families in the area. To support families and parishes in the area, donations may be made to Catholic Charities Atlanta or mailed to:
Catholic Charities Atlanta,
Attn: Flood Relief
680 W. Peachtree St. NW
Atlanta, GA 30308
Please join me in praying for Mary, Rod, their families and all others suffering loss and sorrow during this difficult time!

Thanks for posting this! I hadn’t heard of this damage. We in the mid-west are enjoying a very nice spring-summer-fall! We send the people of Atlanta our prayers. We had heard of devastating floods in the Philipines and are already praying for these people as well.
