		<description>Laura, you have posted another set of great tips!  In particular I like tips #3 and #4.  Staying focused is so important to lesson planning.  When students are aware of the purpose/objective of the lesson, then the activities have a purpose as well.  Don&#039;t surprise them.  Let them know what they are learning that day and why - it will help them stay focused.  

I have been posting a series on lesson planning on my blog that your readers may also enjoy:  thereligionteacher.blogspot.com.  In the most recent post, I focused on your tip #3 &quot;Creating Lesson Objectives&quot; by breaking lesson plan objectives into parts.  I will be expanding on this and assessment techniques in the weeks to come.
