Lisa, this is so timely for me! A few weeks ago, I realized that part of keeping my Sabbath holy had to involve going screenless. That first Sunday was tough, to say the least. At least, it was tough for a couple of minutes here and there. But it was also grand.

There was more to do on Monday, in some ways. But there was also an energy and a spirit I hadn't had before when I "snuck in" some time to "catch up" on those computer projects, writing work, and other stuff on Sundays.

I struggle, but I'll tell you what. How about if we lift each other up in prayer on Sundays...and there will be the oomph we need to make it through triumphantly, with His help! What do you say? :)

Thanks for bringing this up and for all you do!

This can be a struggle for us too. We have been consciously trying to use Saturday as catch-up with home chores and have been trying to celebrate Sunday as a day of worship, rest and family. It works fairly often. The trick we found was to actually talk about it a while ago and make a decision to honor Snday. Now, my wife and I remind each other that it is a day set aside for God's purposes if we find ourselves drifting into other "things that need to be done". Two heads are better than one at staying on track and we find that it helps draw us closer together as a couple as well. God Bless all!

Katie - that timing sounds very good! It's hard, since I frequently have great ideas during and after Mass on Sunday, but I keep a notebook with me to write them down for later in the week. We'll see how that works!

I am such a slacker on this one! I am convicted to do better a few times a year... Most recently, I make sure the blogging is off limits from Saturday after dinner until Sunday after dinner. It helps me take a much needed rest from the computer and I find it so necessary. I also try not to be tied to a "list" on Sundays, but if work gets done, that's okay.
