Divine Mercy Conference set for August 1st

The much awaited Divine Mercy Congress is set on August 1, 2009, Saturday, at the LA Convention Center, South Hall, 1201 South Figueroa St., Los Angeles, Ca 90015, from 7 am to 8 pm. This spiritual event is sponsored by Hombre Nuevo and Guadalupe Radio, under Fr. Juan Rivas, Legionaries of Christ, jointly with the Divine Mercy Evangelization Movement, a lay organization founded in 1999, under its Spiritual Directors, Msgr. James Lougnane, Pastor of St. Denis, Diamond Bar, and Fr. Joseph Visperas, Pastor,St. Paul of the Cross, La Mirada.

The Congress Theme is “Jesus, Our Healer and Strength”. Fr. Fernando Suarez, Companions of the Cross, is a world renowned healing priest who will talk on “Complete Trust in Jesus, the Healer”. He will also celebrate the healing mass and conduct a healing service.

Fr. Edward Broom, Oblates of the Virgin Mary, is an Associate Pastor of St. Peter Chanel, Hawaiian Gardens who is a dynamic speaker as a retreat master for several years, will speak on “Mary and Forgiveness”.


Fr. Kazimierz Chwalek, Marians of the Immaculate Conception, is the Vicar Provincial and Director of Evangelization and Development as well as a member of the Executive Committee of the World Apostolic Congress on Mercy and North American Congress on Mercy. He will team up with Marie Romagnano, RN and founder of the Divine Mercy for the Health Professional, on the topic, “The Divine Mercy Message and Devotion for the Sick, Injured, and Dying.

Donna Lee, accomplished Artist and Unity award recipient, will give her personal testimony and a mini-concert on “God is Rich in Mercy”.

Donation: Adults $25 each, after 7/19/09 and at the door, $30. Children over 5 years $10. Free admission for priests and are invited to con-celebrate the mass and help hear confession. Pre-registration is recommended. Tickets are required for admission. Make checks payable to Hombre Nuevo. Mail the registration form with check payment and self-address stamped envelop to: Divine Mercy Evangelization Movement, 321 N. Vallejo St. La Habra Ca 90631-4943.

2. Greeters and Program Distribution
3. Registration (Will Call, On-Site)
4. Catchers
5. Security
6. Eucharistic Ministers (submit certification or letter from Pastor)
7. Collection (during mass)
8. Pray-over ministers
9. Vigil Room prayer warriors/adorers
10. Sacristans
11. Liturgy Coordinator
12. First Aid – nurses, doctors
