- This Week’s Book Recommendation: Bundles of Faith and Tons of Fun – This latest book by Patricia Mathson is a resource of crafts, prayers, role plays, banners, and much more to enhance a child’s walk in faith with Jesus throughout the entire year. The material in Bundles of Faith and Tons of Fun: Easy Activities, Prayers, and Projects for Children is suitable for pre-school to middle-school age. The ideas are easy to use and adapt to any religious education setting in school, parish, or home. The materials required for specific lessons and activities are close at hand, and preparation time is minimal. This is a perfect resource to enhance and supplement any religious education curriculum and any course. In each idea, Mathson emphasizes how Jesus is present. Children are able to recognize in their work, prayer, and sharing, how Jesus is truly with them. Prayer chains, pantomimes, giving trees, May Day crownings, and holiday adventures are all part of the creative offering which are truly tons of fun as they share bundles of faith with the children.

Gospel Team - Laura Grace, has taught first grade religious education for over ten years and writes our lesson plans from St. Nicholas Chapel at the Pax River Naval Air Station in Patuxent River, Maryland. Elyse Wilson lives with her husband and six children on Yongsan Army Garrison in Seoul, Korea. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Theology. Among other things, she enjoys teaching Religious Education classes, studying her Bible, and spending time with her six children (five boys and one girl) and her husband, Col. Russell A. Wilson of the US Air Force. She hopes that her Mass worksheets will help children become more enthusiastic about their faith, and her ultimate goal is to design another worksheet that will keep her husband awake during Mass. Lisa Hendey is the founder and webmaster of CatholicMom.com and loves to color and work puzzles!
