One of the blessings and challenges of being a father is that your children get to glimpse our heavenly Father through us. Quite big shoes to fill and I have failed so many times I lost count. Yet He guides us dads if we are open to Him and so become more like Him and our kids become closer to Him as a result. I have long felt that Father's day had that element focusing on that particular element of responsibility we dads have to be the imperfect mirror of the true nature of God to our kids or those who are ours to influence. So while I know my kids are joining me to celebrate, I have two reasons to rejoice, one to share in their love and second to share HIS love.
