All Things Guy Book Contest
By Lisa Hendey • Apr 27th, 2009 • Category: Contests
This week, we are pleased to offer your chance to win one of three copies of the great new book, All Things Guy: A Guide to Becoming a Man that Matters by Teresa Tomeo, Molly Miller, Monica Cops and Cheryl Dickow.
Here’s a brief description of this book:
“All Things Guy: A Guide to Becoming a Man that Matters” is 200 pages filled with information that every young Catholic boy should have at his fingertips. It is no wonder that “All Things Guy: A Guide to Becoming a Man that Matters” has received endorsements from throughout the Catholic community including Al Kresta, President and CEO of Ave Maria Radio and father of four boys…”There are precious few resources out there for young men. All Things Guy is among the best. Don’t let the opportunity to grow strong, faithful men slip by. Use this resource!” “All Things Guy” is a guide that both boys and parents love because it gives great foundational information regarding the Faith in a fun way with stories and facts that kids can sink their teeth into – all amidst bold B&W graphics, puzzles, and mazes. The sections include: Dignity; Virtues and More; Media and Men that Matter; Vocations; Family and Friends; Body; Know Your History; Boys in the Kitchen; Strong Catholic Men Today; and Basic Combat Training (building a prayer life).
To enter, you must leave a comment on this post with a valid email address (which won’t be published or shared) before Midnight PST on Saturday, May 9, 2009. I’ll draw a random winners and announce the names over the weekend.

Sounds like an interesting read.
Hey, this is awesome. I have a guy around here…
(and don’t throw my name in the mix)
Thanks for the heads-up on this book … we have guys around here
Sound like a great book. And me with 4 sons and 3 daughters! Could help
I would love to have this book for my two boys. They have both said at different times that <”maybe God will want me to be a priest.” I hope they never lose that openness to God’s plan for them. I love listening to Theresa on the radio!
Please enter me in this contest! I have 2 sons ages 7 and 17.
Since I am the lone girl in this house of 3 guys (including a 10 year old who has priestly aspirations) please enter me in this contest!
I am really enjoying all your resources recommended through your podcasts. Thank you for all that you do and your hard work and dedication to educating people on the Catholic faith.
Would love this book. We have 3 sons: 17, 16 & 3! Please enter me in the contest!
What a great book! I’d love to pass this on to my son.
I would love to have this book for all the guys in my home (4 currently). My youngest is talking about possibly being a Franciscan…..
No guys around here, but I’m dying to get my hands on this (I mean, it’s as easy as BUYING it, I know, but WINNING it would be fun too
)
Thanks for letting us know about this book! I have two boys, and are definitely concerned about the culture they are growing up in.
I would love this book for my two sons. I am a HUGE fan of Teresa Tomeo, and download her podcasts whenever I get a chance!
I have often found myself reflecting on my own childhood and the lack of strong father-figures in my life as I grew up. As a father and husband, I can more clearly see the importance of raising boys to be men.
If I were to win this book, I’m confident it would benefit me on a personal level and also provide my sons and I an opportunity to explore the value of the book together.
God answers prayer…
My son is 13 and leaving primary school this June and entering high school this fall.
I have struggled these last few years – as mom – to help him through the pre-pubescent/early teen years and point him toward christian catholic role modeling.
This will be a good read and good resource in future.
I was not aware of the authors or previous titles focusing on “All things Girl”…etc. Time to browse and shop the bookstore – as I have a 7 year old daughter also!
Thank-you “Catholic Mom”!
More tools for the toolbox for this “catholic mom”!
We could REALLY use this great book.
I have two boys so we are in need of this book at our house!
Thanks for another great title. I always find it harder to find formation books, etc geared towards boys than girls. Thank you also for all that you do to help make my job as a Catholic mom just a little easier.
God bless.
Sounds like a great book! I love your blog and website too!
Saw this at the local Catholic bookstore…looks good!

My 3 sons are surrounded by a sea of sisters(6). We need this book! Thanks.
I would love to have a copy of this book. Sounds like great reading for my son and nephews!
I would love to win a copy of the book. My youngest is the only boy with five sisters.
I grew up with sisters and am now raising sons. Testosterone is a powerful drug. I need this book!
This sounds like a must for working with boys and bringing them through their rite of passage to manhood. Thanks for bringing it to our attention!
Looks like a very interesting book. Bringing up boys can be a challenge. Anything to help is always welcome.
This site is a blessing to all—thanks for your work!
My 12yr old son loves to read. I’m very interested in this book. He just gave up altar serving and is going through a difficult phase regarding all things church… maybe it would help…
I’m hoping that this book will help my 14 year old son sort out his sexuality.
